We do not retain any media files beyond the time needed to provide the service requested by you, and we do not use broad permissions that give ongoing access to your photo or video library. Where applicable, we use the system’s secure photo picker mechanism to allow you to select specific media files without granting the app blanket access to your device’s photos or videos.
You may choose not to grant access to photos or videos. If you decline, features that require selecting media (e.g., profile image upload) may not be available.
Location data is used for navigation, ride matching, and calculating fares. Locationbased offers and promotions are provided in anonymized formats.
The Ocab India app requests access to your Contact List to enable the following features:
i) Sharing Ride Details: Easily share your ride information with friends or family.
ii) Coordinating Trips: Simplify coordination for pickup and drop-off locations with other app users.
iii) Adding Emergency Contacts: Quickly select emergency contacts from your Contact List to assign them to the app’s SOS feature.
Important Details:
* Your Contact List data is used only to enhance app functionality and improve your experience.
* We do not share your Contact List data with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
* Access to your Contact List requires your explicit consent.
When Ocab India requests access to your Contact List, you will see the following prompt:
"Ocab India needs access to your Contact List to help you share ride details, coordinate trips with friends or family, and set emergency contacts for the SOS feature. This data will only be used for providing these features and will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes."
You must explicitly consent (e.g., by tapping "Allow") for the app to access this information. If you decline, the app will still function, but some features, such as sharing ride details and adding emergency contacts, may be unavailable.
Log data, cookies, and third-party tools like Google Play Services may collect certain information for app functionality and analytics.
We implement robust security measures, including encryption, to protect user data. Collected data is retained only as long as necessary for operational purposes and deleted promptly when no longer needed.
